Braden and I thought a lot about one particular question posed by Caleb Goellner in the “Adventure Time #25...” interview on Comics Alliance. I’m going to leave this here, ironically on Valentines Day, in case anyone is thinking about collaborating on comics (and I hope you consider it!) with a…
Any chance you will be at SDCC this summer? It'll be my first, and probably only trip, and I'd love to meet you and possibly get a sketch. I really enjoy your work on the Adventure Time book I asked Shelli the same question. If both of you would be there, it would be the best!!
Yep, Shelli and I will be at SDCC, signing and doing sketches at the Boom! booth (#2473). Get there as early in the day as you can if you want to get on the list for a commissioned drawing. You may also want to request a specific artist, as it’ll probably be one of the booth helpers who takes your order. Only one commission per customer, though! We want as many people as possible to get drawings.
Best convention: Emerald City Comic Con. When we got to see for the first time that, yes, people are reading our comic. We’re looking forward to seeing you again in March! Seattle also wins our prize for Best Food While At A Convention; specifically, the Coterie Room.
Best Cancelled TV Show: Outcasts. A really solid sci-fi survival story, in the spirit of Battlestar Galactica and Earth 2. All 8 episodes are available on Netflix streaming and other platforms.
Hello! I stumbled upon your TaleSpin covers, and I'm shocked that Boom Studios had concrete plans for new TaleSpin comics!!! Do you know if more covers were made before this was cancelled or something? Do you know why it never happened?
Sorry to mislead. The illustrations were just a private commission. To my knowledge there were no concrete plans for TaleSpin comics from Boom. But rest assured, if there were, I’d have been all over that like majesty on Don Karnage.
