Two Years of Teamwork! -
Braden and I thought a lot about one particular question posed by Caleb Goellner in the “Adventure Time #25...” interview on Comics Alliance. I’m going to leave this here, ironically on Valentines Day, in case anyone is thinking about collaborating on comics (and I hope you consider it!) with a…
I just got the colours for Midas Flesh #3 and they are SUPER GORGEOUS. Braden Lamb and Shelli Paroline, everyone!
Also, this is basically the only panel I could post without spoiling anything.
Issue 3 comes out in just a few weeks!
We’re really proud of this issue. Thanks, Ryan!
I always wanted to see Christmas commercials for books & comics, so I made one for fun.
My new comic series is called The Midas Flesh and #1 comes out a week from today! And already there are some SNEAKUM PEEKUM reviews coming out! Like this one, from Comic Book Resources:
Powered by a creative team that shares credits on “Adventure Time,” this comic book is not at all stymied by a lack of imagination. I’m not exactly sure what the space travelers have to do with the origins of King Midas, but the hook has been baited and I’ve been hooked. “The Midas Flesh” #1 is a bizarrely familiar, but reverently and humorously modernized fable intertwined with an apparent space opera that happens to feature a Utahraptor. BOOM! Box has given readers a solid first offering that feels like an underground independent success in the making. The best part? This is, so very clearly, just the beginning.
Ahhh, so great! You can pick up the book at your local comic book shop (or have them put one aside for you if you ask!) or direct from the publisher. The above cover for issue #1 is by the great Noelle Stevenson! :o
You can read more about the book here!
I love drawing this comic so much. I hope you’ll enjoy reading it!

Did we mention FREE ADMISSION?
At San Diego Comic Con I won an Eisner award! Me and Braden and Shelli each got our own little Eisner statue (the globe actually spins!) for our work on Adventure Time.
There were tons of great comics by tons of great people, so I was not expecting to win, especially since it was the first time I was nominated for anything! But we did which was nuts and then it was a super thrill to be up there on stage talking to the rest of the comics world.
Thank you to everyone who likes our crazy comics, and thanks for this awesome recognition. We will keep making rad comics for as long as we can, I’m pretty sure!

I would like to echo Ryan’s sentiments of surprise and delight and gratitude.
scottguenther asked: Any chance you will be at SDCC this summer? It'll be my first, and probably only trip, and I'd love to meet you and possibly get a sketch. I really enjoy your work on the Adventure Time book I asked Shelli the same question. If both of you would be there, it would be the best!!
Yep, Shelli and I will be at SDCC, signing and doing sketches at the Boom! booth (#2473). Get there as early in the day as you can if you want to get on the list for a commissioned drawing. You may also want to request a specific artist, as it’ll probably be one of the booth helpers who takes your order. Only one commission per customer, though! We want as many people as possible to get drawings.
See you there! Hope you enjoy the show!
