MICE is pleased to welcome some very special people to our fifth annual show as guests:
Emily Carroll - Best known for her spooky, surreal web comics like His Face All Red and Out of Skin. These stories and more will be collected into her first book Through the Woods published by Margaret K McElderry Books in July 2014.
James Kochalka - Vermont’s first Cartoonist Laureate and celebrated creator ofAmerican Elf. His recent works include Glorkian Warrior Delivers a Pizza for young readers and Superf*ckers cartoon for not-so young viewers.
Box Brown - A prolific independent cartoonist and founder of the small press Retrofit Comics. His graphic biography Andre the Giant: Life and Legend steps into the ring this spring.
Paul Hornschemeier - NYT Bestselling cartoonist, animator for IFC’s Comedy Bang Bang, and a recent addition to Boston’s comics community. His works include the graphic novels Life With Mr. Dangerous and Three Paradoxes, and the YouTube series Forlorn Funnies.
All these cartoonists will have new books available in time for our show! You’ll find the creators showcasing their work in the exhibition halls and panel discussions, and generally walking amongst us as though they were mere mortals.
